1967-72 C10 Bucket Seat Center Console
The console was designed on a low hump floor, but the side panels can be cut to fit a high hump floor.
This console is exactly like our original design except the area that holds the cup holders has been raised one inch. This allows more space to fit the cup holders without them hitting the trans hump. I have a custom trans hump in Venom and it hit my cup holders. Raising the area for the cup holders creates a ledge that adds some style, and there is a slot below it that is great for installing lights.
The last pic shows how I customized my console for Venom. I cut out the sides of the console, then I installed the steel side panel overlays. On the inside I installed aluminum mesh, and behind that is frosted lexan, with led back lighting.
On my personal console I cut holes for my shifter, Airlift controller, A/C vents, speakers, and mesh in the sides.
Under my console is my stereo, motor wiring harness that goes to the ecu under my passenger seat, and a 120 volt power inverter that powers my DVD player.
The storage compartment has about a cubic foot of storage space.
I painted my console and had the storage lid wrapped in vinyl.
