Product Details
The 54” rear end is what I’m using to run 12” wide wheels with a 3” backspacing. These wheels have an 7.5” deep lip. Outside of tire to outside of tire measures 73”.

Bearings and seals are already pressed onto the 31 spline axles, and retainers and T bolts are included. Axles are cut to fit, and you can easily cut them with a cut off wheel or bandsaw. Axles are triple drilled for 5x4.5, 5x4.75, snd 5x5. 3rd member gasket and studs are included .

The 54” and 56” rear ends come with “cut to fit” axles. Axles need be cut with a cut-off wheel or a band saw.

The 58” 60”, and 62” rear end cost more because they use more expensive CPP axles.

These measurements change if you’re running a concave center. You will have less lip since the spokes are bent forwards. The other measurements stay the same.

Axle housings are New Style Large Ford Torino.

You can hook a tape measure onto the end of the splines in the 3rd member, then measure to the end of the housing to get a measurement to cut the axle.

On the drivers side of the third member there are two splined collars. The splines on the axle must engage with both of them. If they aren’t lined up, you will need to line them up. After you feel the axle slide through both of them, you can measure the axle “stick out” to know how much needs to be cut off.

These are the lengths that I cut my axles for my 54” rear end. The measurement is from between the bearing and the press on sleeve, to the end of the axle.
