Gen 1 - Camaro Engine Bay Kit (Inner Fenders and Core Support Cover Panel)

Our engine bay kit is very easy to install. The inner fenders fit into the lip on the fender, and bolt to brackets that come with the kit. The last three pictures shows how I installed my brackets in my car. You can do this however you want on the firewall, but the brackets that secure the middle of the inner fender bolt to where the core support to fender brace used to bolt to. The inner fenders bolt to the core support cover and lock all of the panels together. 

Some of the pictures show how the customers modified the inner fender drop down panel to fit around their brake booster and master cylinder. Whether you are running a vacuum booster, hydro boost, or manual brakes, it’s going to come out in the middle of the fender drop down, and this area will need to be cut to fit. If you have radiator cap interference or any other issues, we will work with you to make panels that fit your specific needs. 

The fender braces will need to be removed. 

Must use aftermarket hood hinges. Hinges are available on our website. 

Some radiators are taller than others and some radiator caps will hit the front panel. There are two things we can do to solve this issue. The easiest thing to do is to just lower your radiator. It’s fairly easy to lower the radiator on a Camaro, and a half inch or less should sold the clearance issue. If that’s not going to solve the problem, draw on the panel with a sharpie where it needs to be cut, and then send it back to us. We will make you a new panel, and we will cut the hole in the correct location, and bead roll around the hole. You will see examples of this on our website. We will do this for free, and you will only be responsible for shipping it both ways. We want your car to look it’s best!
